We are looking for an experienced manager, with a sound understanding of the technical areas of expertise within the team, and the ability to motivate and support staff in meeting their full potential. The Team Leader post is the Council lead on biodiversity, countryside access and green infrastructure, and as such will need to have a genuine passion for the natural environment, whilst being able to influence and deliver the Council’s goals and ambitions in this field. The team is increasingly taking a lead role in regional and multi-disciplinary initiatives, consequently we are looking for somebody with excellent leadership and collaboration skills, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships to achieve common goals. We are also looking to maximise what can be done within the organisation to improve the environment and lives of Neath Port Talbot residents; to achieve this, the post holder will need to have the necessary people and negotiation skills to develop a clear understanding of, and influence, the many services and functions being delivered by the Council.
