You will be required to work on a casual basis within a small team of experienced staff dealing with births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships and will be expected to deputise for Registration Officers, both at the Register Office and at approved premises. You must possess excellent organisational skills together with a positive and flexible approach to the provision of a quality service to our users. You will be required mainly to work weekends and occasional bank holidays and where possible provide cover for annual leave and sickness absence.

You must possess a full driving licence, alternatively should you not possess a driving licence or vehicle, you should have the ability to travel for business purposes without unreasonable disruption to the requirements of the post.

The post requires a minimum of 4 GCSE’s Grade C or above one of which must be English or Welsh, or a qualification of a comparable level (eg. Intermediate GNVQ Level 2, BTEC First Certificate, NVQ Level 2).

Previous experience of the duties within the Registration Service and a good knowledge of the relevant Acts and Regulations are desirable but not essential as is the ability to speak Welsh.
