We have an exciting opportunity for a Private Rented Sector Housing and Empty Homes Assistant in the General Environmental Health Team, within the Environmental Health & Trading Standards Service.

Funding is being provided by Welsh Government for this post with the primary purpose of preventing homelessness and supporting people to have the capability, independence, skills and confidence to access and/or maintain a stable and suitable home.

This post will provide administrative and operational support to enable the Council to positively improve access to good quality homes in the Private Rented sector and bring long term Empty Homes back into use to increase housing provision for homelessness.

Occasionally the successful candidate may be required to provide technical and operational support for General Environmental Health and Pollution Control.

Applicants must possess a good knowledge of Environmental Health together with a detailed working knowledge about Housing Standards & Empty Homes.
