It’s an exciting time in Children & Young People’s Services as we continue to make solid progress towards our aims of achieving quality, supporting families and effectively managing risk.

The Childcare Disability Team is well-established and consists of experienced Social Workers, Practice Support Workers, Portage workers and Administrative support as well as the Team Manager and two Deputy Team Managers. The team provides a service to disabled children and their families from the point of referral through to transition support and includes Children in Need of a Care and Support Plan, Looked After Children and Child Protection and Court work. This is an opportunity for a Social Worker to join a team where there is a high level of team morale and where staff turn-over remains low.

We can offer you a very competitive salary and generous terms and conditions including 24 days (pro-rata) annual leave (rising to 31 days after 5 years continuous service) plus 2 extra days at Christmas, pension scheme and sick pay scheme. We also have a Health and Well-being Group with a staff lottery and associated discounts.
