Neath Port Talbot’s Children and Young People Services are continuing to make solid progress providing quality, supportive services and effectively managing risk for those children and families who are in need, in need of protection, and who are ‘looked after’ by Neath Port Talbot, using bespoke, creative and outcome focused plans.

We currently have a permanent vacancy for a Social Worker in a Community Children’s Team based within the Sandfields area of Port Talbot. As part of a team of Social Workers and Practice Support Workers, you will work alongside children, their families and professionals following initial investigations and be required to undertake Section 47 investigations, child protection and public law outline in line with the Social Services and Wellbeing Act, focussing on achieving positive outcomes to children and families within the Sandfields, Aberavon and Baglan areas.
