Teaching Assistant Level 3 - Learning Support Assistant

Based in Baglan Education and Training Centre.

The Vulnerable Learners Service (VLS) was created in 2019 by the amalgamation of the Traveller Education Service (TES) and the Minority Ethnic Achievement Service (MEAS) within the Local Authority. The VLS is part of the Education Development Service (EDS), and is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitable Learning Support Assistant to support learners from the Gypsy Traveller community within NPT primary/secondary schools.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out such duties as in-class teaching support and the post may involve some evening/after school work such as attending parents meetings, after school clubs and possibly home visits with the aim of forging successful relationships within the Gypsy Traveller community.

Welsh language skills are desirable

You must be registered with the Care Council for Wales or an equivalent body.
