We are looking to appoint 2 temporary Contact Workers in the Single Point of Contact Team for 6 months to cover absences within the team.

The role of the team is to triage referrals as part of information, advice and assistance under the Social Services and Well Being Wales Act for all children and adult services. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about customer service to get the best outcomes for families, have a knowledge of either Children & Young People or Adult Services or ideally both. You will need to be competent in working in a pressurised environment where you will be typing, checking client systems and talking at the same time.

As this is a temporary role applicants need to be able to adapt quickly to the role and be an excellent communicator with the public and colleagues.

The ability to speak Welsh is advantageous but not essential. There is no requirement to drive and all work is currently being completed remotely from home via a laptop and phone based software. Therefore there is an expectation that you manage your time effectively between the hours of 8.30a.m. and 5p.m.

The post requires an NVQ (or equivalent qualification) in health and social care.
