Job Details - Contracts Assistant

The Corporate Procurement Unit of Legal Services is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to play an active role in the procurement work of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.

The Corporate Procurement Unit is a section of the Legal Services which is part of the Chief Executive’s Directorate. The unit sets out best practice for procurement across the Council, ensuring that all procurement activities operate within the context of value for money, efficiency and continuous improvement, and supports the Council’s aims and objectives.

The role will be fixed term for 2 years to assist with contract preparation and renewal, contract management and supplier relations, and tendering and quotation processes, in compliance with relevant legislation and procedures. Welsh language skills are not necessary.
