A vacancy exists for a qualified and experienced Cook to be responsible for the preparation and cooking of high quality varied meals for the staff and young people residing at the Home.
The post-holder will be responsible for menu planning, ordering of provisions and budgetary control. The post holder will also be responsible for supervising Kitchen Assistants and the control of hygiene to comply with Health and Safety Regulations.
The hours will fall between 8.00am and 5.30pm on any 5 days out of 7, and you will be expected to work Bank Holidays and weekends on a rota basis.
You may also be required to work 37 hours per week to cover staff shortages.
A City and Guilds 7061/2 or NVQ Level 2 in Food Production and Catering is essential together with Level 2/3 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
