(SWTRA) is responsible for managing, maintaining and improving the strategic road network in South Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government.

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer to support our Programme Management Team. Working closely with one of our Principal Engineers, you will be actively involved in the programming of highways related maintenance and renewal projects.

The Senior Engineer will support the Principal Engineer Programme Management and deputise if necessary, in the overall development and delivery of the Welsh Government’s annual programme of highway and structures projects across the Trunk Road and Motorway network in South Wales in accordance with the Welsh Government’s requirements. The successfully candidate will also support the Principal Engineer ensuring effective co-ordination, programming and contract administration of all projects to ensure delivery to time and budget.

The post requires a HNC in Civil Engineering construction related discipline r equivalent, a current Driving Licence, and Training in Health and Safety.
