(SWTRA) is responsible for managing, maintaining and improving the strategic road network in South Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government. Location: Llandarcy, Neath / Wilcrick, Magor or St Clears (Please note that this post will initially be required to work from home, with a blended return to the office location in the future.)

Qualifications: The post requires a Degree in a Civil Engineering or construction related discipline, Professionally qualified (IEng minimum) with an appropriate engineering organisation (Civil, Highways, Structures), a current Driving Licence, and Training in Health and Safety.

An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer Structures (Capital Works) in Programme Delivery Team. The Principal Engineer Structures (Capital Works) will act as the Agent’s technical expert and hold specific responsibility for bridge and structures management aspects. The successfully candidate will coordinate, programme, deliver and provide technical advice on all highway’s structures assessment and maintenance works on the network to ensure compliance with the Welsh Government’s requirements. The successfully candidate will also support the Programme Delivery Manager and deputise if necessary, in the management of the overall improvement works programme of the motorway and trunk road network.
