Salary: £37,890 - £41,881 per annum (Grade 10 SCP 34 – SCP 38)

Qualifications: The post requires a Degree in a Civil Engineering or construction related discipline or equivalent or Qualified Incorporated Engineer, a current Driving Licence, Training in Health and Safety and the ability to keep abreast of new initiatives / maintain CPD and awareness of change and new methods of working.

An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer – Programme Management in the Programme Delivery Team. The Principal Engineer will support the Programme Delivery Manager and deputise as necessary, in the overall development and delivery of the Welsh Government’s annual programme of Highways and Structures related projects across the Trunk Road and Motorway network in South Wales in accordance with the Welsh Government’s requirements. The successful candidate will support the Programme Delivery Manager ensuring effective co-ordination, programming and contract administration of all Highways and Structures related projects on the network to ensure compliance with the Welsh Government’s requirements.
