Salary: Grade 8/9: £28,785 - £36,876 per annum (depending on experience)

It’s an exciting time in Children and Young People Services as we continue to make solid progress towards our aims of achieving quality, supporting families and effectively managing risk.

We currently have a permanent Social Worker vacancy in the Dyffryn Community Children’s Team, based within Port Talbot town centre. Newly qualified Social Workers as well as experienced Social Workers are welcome to apply. Social Workers in the Community Teams carry out work with children and families following initial investigations. Applicants are required to have experience (through placements or work) in Children’s Services including undertaking Section 47 investigations, child protection and the public law outline. The Service has separate Intake and LAC teams.
