Reporting to the West Glamorgan Transformation Programme Director, this strategic role will deliver and assure work streams within the West Glamorgan Transformation Programme and be responsible for one of the Transformation Boards across Adults Transformation Board, Integrated Transformation Board or Children and Young Peoples Transformation Boards.

Examples of the areas you will be initially working on will come under the Adults Transformation Board and includes development of a regional dementia strategy and regional hospital to home service, the Commissioning for Complex Needs Programme, Delivery of the Mental Health Strategic Framework and review of the Optimum Model for Intermediate Care Services.

The post holder will provide senior programme management for the development of the transformation programme business cases and programme plans as outlined by the Transformation Boards, this will include developing and ensuring delivery of the programme plan using a results based accountability model to report to the Boards and Welsh Government.

The post holder will work closely with staff from within the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, Swansea Bay University Health Board and Swansea Council and in order to deliver the Programme.

You will need experience of complex programme management and an understanding of social care and health policy developments, along with administration management and have experience of supporting projects with businesses cases and relevant financial documentation for funding bids.

Personal qualities will include needing to be adaptable, flexible and able to deal with unpredictable situations as they arise, you will also need the ability to prioritise under pressure, within a change environment.

This post will be primarily based in Swansea Council Civic Centre. You will be expected to work in an agile environment and work in other offices across the region.
