The post holder will be required to provide consultations, specialist psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention to children and young people who are experiencing family breakdown/crisis, i.e. to children who are on the edge of care, and provide consultation to support an early help approach and prevent vulnerable children’s needs escalating.

The post holder will be matrix managed with professional supervision and development through the Educational Psychology Service and caseload management through the Principal Officer Child & Family. Performance management will be done jointly.
